Stantec Representatives Onsite to Conduct Due Diligence for the Updated Resource Estimate and Technical Report on the McGee Lithium Clay Project in Clayton Valley, Nevada

By News

April 22, 2022 – Spearmint Resources Inc. (CSE: SPMT) (OTC Pink: SPMTD) (FSE: A2AHL5) (the “Company” or “Spearmint”) is pleased to announce that representatives from Stantec Consulting Ltd. (“Stantec”) have arrived on the property to conduct due diligence in preparation to complete an updated resource estimate and Technical Report for the McGee Lithium Clay Project in Clayton Valley, Nevada. The Technical Report will be prepared in accordance with the requirements of National Instrument 43-101. The Stantec Qualified Person (Derek Loveday, P.Geo.) has direct experience in the Tonopah area, which includes visiting Albemarle Corp.’s (ALB-NYSE) Silver Peak mine and ioneer Ltd.’s (INR-ASX) Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project, and completing a resource estimate and Technical Report for American Lithium Corp. (LI-TSX.v, LIACF-USA) on the TLC Lithium Project.

On March 2, 2022, Spearmint announced results from the phase III drill program on the flagship, 100-percent owned ‘McGee Lithium Clay Project’ in Clayton Valley, Nevada, directly bordering Cypress Development Corp. (CYP–TSX.v, CYDVF–USA).  The phase III drill program discovered Spearmint’s best drill results achieved to date. Frank Bain, P.Geo and a director of Spearmint Resources stated, “These results have far exceeded our expectations of what we were hoping to discover on this phase III drill program, in the highest range of any reported drill holes in the history of Clayton Valley, Nevada.”

Results from the phase III drill program included:

  • Hole-15, drilled at approximately 2,500 feet to the West of any previous drill hole, hit a high of 1,810 parts per million lithium (ppm Li) within 537 continuous feet averaging over 960 ppm Li, including 485 feet averaging 1,003 ppm Li.
  • Hole-18, the farthest step-out hole to the West at approximately 3,700 feet from any previous drill hole, hit a high of 1,760 ppm Li within a substantial 652 continuous feet averaging over 895 ppm Li, including 455 feet averaging 1,004 ppm Li.
  • Hole-17 hit a high of 1,390 ppm Li within 170 continuous feet averaging over 862 ppm Li, including 95 feet averaging 1,044 ppm Li.

On June 11, 2021, Spearmint received the Technical Report on its ‘McGee Lithium Clay Project’ which included a maiden resource estimate of 815,000 indicated tonnes and 191,000 inferred tonnes for a total of 1,006,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE). The Technical Report was prepared in accordance with the requirements of National Instrument 43-101 by Stantec Consultant Ltd.’s qualified persons (Allan Turner, PGeol, and Derek Loveday, PGeo). Management cautions that past results or discoveries on properties in proximity to Spearmint may not necessarily be indicative to the presence of mineralization on the Company’s properties.

Spearmint has received the drill results from the Perron-East gold project in Quebec. Drill hole SP-22-006 intersected a 2.9 m wide pyrite±chalcopyrite bearing vein system, related to deformed mafic intrusions within the Val-St-Gilles pluton stock. The location of the vein system corresponds to a north-south trending interpreted lineament and close to a gold-soil anomaly. Also, this kind of mineralization is comparable to other gold-rich settings (Rollmac and Lac Turgeon-Rive Ouest showings, Starr Peak Exploration) in the direct vicinity of the property. Assays on SP-22-006 did not return economic gold values but nugget effect is common in such systems. Overall, this vein interval is the first expression discovered of a potentially gold-bearing hydrothermal system on the property. Management cautions that past results or discoveries on properties in proximity to Spearmint may not necessarily be indicative to the presence of mineralization on the Company’s properties.

By News

April 1, 2022 – Spearmint Resources Inc. (CSE: SPMT) (OTC Pink: SPMTD) (FSE: A2AHL5) (the “Company” or “Spearmint”) is pleased to announce that the Company has engaged Stantec Consulting Ltd. (“Stantec”) to complete an updated resource estimate and Technical Report for the McGee Lithium Clay Project in Clayton Valley, Nevada.

  • Hole-17 hit a high of 1,390 ppm Li within 170 continuous feet averaging over 862 ppm Li, including 95 feet averaging 1,044 ppm Li.

James Nelson, President of Spearmint Resources stated, “We are confident that the inclusion of the recently completed phase III drill program results should increase the resource estimate on the McGee Lithium Clay Project in a meaningful way. Two of the recent drill holes discovered our best results ever on this project, achieving strong, consistent lithium grades over massive intercepts on hole-15 (537 feet) & hole-18 (652 feet). Furthermore, these two drill holes were the farthest step-out holes, approximately 2,500 feet and 3,700 feet to the West of any hole drilled in previous phases of drilling on McGee. Lithium prices and demand remain at all-time highs, up over 900 percent since the start of 2021. In addition, announced on March 31, 2022, President Joe Biden enacted the Defense Production Act to increase domestic production of strategic and critical materials, such as lithium and cobalt, needed to build batteries for electric vehicles and other types of energy technologies. This could provide a major catalyst and sector momentum for developing domestic sources of battery metals, which is Spearmint’s goal for the McGee Lithium Clay Project. The rest of 2022 is shaping up to be very exciting.”

Spearmint Completes Drill Program on the Perron-East Gold Project in Quebec

By News

February 15, 2022 – Spearmint Resources Inc. (CSE: SPMT) (OTC Pink: SPMTD) (FSE: A2AHL5) (the “Company” or “Spearmint”) is pleased to announce the phase-I drill program has been completed on the Company’s 100-percent owned Perron-East Gold Project in Quebec, located in the direct vicinity of Amex Exploration Inc. (AMXEF – USA, AMX – TSX.V) and Starr Peak Mining Ltd. (STRPF – USA, STE – TSX.V).  Laurentia Exploration, the same geological team who’ve conducted significant drill programs for both Amex Exploration Inc. and Starr Peak Mining Ltd., oversaw all aspects of Spearmint’s drill program.

The drilling campaign started in December 2021 and finished in February 2022. A total of 2,100 m of NQ size was drilled and a total of 545 samples were collected during this campaign. The samples will be sent to ALS for assaying with an expected turnaround time of 8-12 weeks. The drill program was aimed to test different targets based on historical data and recently acquired data. The first portion of the drill program targeted a similar geological context then nearest historical showings (Turgeon Lake: up to 18.7 g/t Au over 3.09 m. (GM 54287, April 29th 1996) and; Rollmac: 31,298 tons grading 11.99 g/t Au (historical and non-compliant NI43-101, Northern Miner, July 13, 1992). The other portion of the drill program, was based on soil anomalies, chargeability anomalies coupled with various different structure identified with hi-resolution mag survey. Management cautions that past results or discoveries on properties in proximity to Spearmint may not necessarily be indicative to the presence of mineralization on the Company’s properties.

James Nelson, President of Spearmint Resources stated, “We are very pleased that we have completed this drill program on budget, and we look forward to what the assays will show. Not only are we awaiting these assays, but we are also awaiting assays, sent on a rush basis, from our McGee Lithium Clay Project in Clayton Valley, Nevada, where we recently drilled two of the longest continuous potentially lithium-bearing clay intercepts ever recorded in Clayton Valley. Clearly the coming weeks will be a transformative time for Spearmint.”

Spearmint Drills Single Longest Continuous Clay Intercept Ever of 652 feet on the McGee Lithium Clay Project in Clayton Valley, Nevada

By News

February 4, 2022 – Spearmint Resources Inc. (CSE: SPMT) (OTC Pink: SPMTD) (FSE: A2AHL5) (the “Company” or “Spearmint”) is pleased to announce that drill hole-18, from the phase III drill program on Spearmint’s 100-percent owned ‘McGee Lithium Clay Project’ in Clayton Valley, Nevada, has set a new record for the project, encountering a massive 652 feet of continuous potential lithium-bearing claystone, directly bordering Cypress Development Corp. (CYP – TSX.v, CYDVF – USA) and Pure Energy Minerals Limited (PE – TSX.v, PEMIF – USA).  To date, this is the longest continuous clay intercept discovered on the ‘McGee Lithium Clay Project’ and the farthest step-out hole to the West, at approximately 3,700 feet from any drill hole from previous phases of drilling. On January 21, 2022, Spearmint announced that drill hole-15 of this phase III drill program on McGee, encountered 562 feet of continuous potential lithium-bearing claystone, which was the longest to date at that point. Management cautions that past results or discoveries on properties in proximity to Spearmint may not necessarily be indicative to the presence of mineralization on the Company’s properties.

The targeted potential lithium-bearing claystone was encountered in 4 holes drilled on the Phase III drill program, including two massive intercepts of 562 feet (hole-15) and 652 feet (hole-18) of continuous claystone. These holes are two of the longest continuous intercepts of claystone recorded in the history of Clayton Valley, Nevada. Samples from the phase III drill program have been immediately sent to ALS for assaying on a rush basis.

James Nelson, President of Spearmint Resources stated, “We are extremely pleased to have once again discovered our longest intercept of 652 feet of continuous potential lithium-bearing claystone to date on our flagship project, the McGee Lithium Clay Project in Clayton Valley, Nevada. Hole-18 beats our recent longest claystone intercept of 562 feet, announced on Jan. 21, 2022. Not only are these two holes the longest but they are approximately 2,500 feet and 3,700 feet to the West of any previously hole drilled in previous phases of drilling on the McGee.  If these holes run at lithium grades, similar to what we’ve already achieved on the McGee Project, it could potentially increase our resource estimate significantly. Management eagerly awaits these assays, especially when you consider that lithium prices and demand are at all-time highs”.

The goal of this drill program will be to increase the maiden resource estimate by following the drilling recommendations provided by Stantec in the Technical Report. Spearmint’s two other lithium projects in Clayton Valley, Nevada include the recently acquired ‘Green Clay Lithium Project’ comprised of 97 contiguous claims totaling approximately 2,000 acres, and the ‘Elon Lithium Brine Project’ which has access to some of the deepest parts of the only lithium brine basin in production in North America. Lithium prices continue to make new all-time highs and have increased by approximately 700-percent since the start of 2021.

Spearmint Drills Longest Continuous Clay Intercept to Date on the McGee Lithium Clay Project in Clayton Valley, Nevada

By News

January 21, 2022 – Spearmint Resources Inc. (CSE: SPMT) (OTC Pink: SPMTD) (FSE: A2AHL5) (the “Company” or “Spearmint”) is pleased to announce that the first drill hole (hole #15) of the phase III drill program on Spearmint’s 100-percent owned ‘McGee Lithium Clay Project’ in Clayton Valley, Nevada has encountered 562 feet of continuous potential lithium-bearing claystone, directly bordering Cypress Development Corp. (CYP – TSX.v, CYDVF – USA) and Pure Energy Minerals Limited (PE – TSX.v, PEMIF – USA).  To date, this is the longest clay intercept discovered on the ‘McGee Lithium Clay Project’ and the farthest step-out hole to the West, approximately 2,500 feet from any previous drill hole.

The goal of this drill program will be to increase the maiden resource estimate by following the drilling recommendations provided by Stantec in the Technical Report. Lithium prices continue to make new all-time highs and have increased by over 500-percent since the start of 2021.

James Nelson, President of Spearmint Resources stated, “We are extremely pleased to have discovered our longest continuous intercept of potential lithium-bearing claystone to date on our flagship project, the McGee Lithium Clay Project in Clayton Valley, Nevada. Not only has hole #15 been our longest clay intercept, but hole #15 is also located the farthest away from any previous drill hole at an approximate distance of 2,500 feet to the West. If this hole runs at economic grades of lithium, similar to what we’ve already drilled, it could potentially increase our resource estimate significantly. This is one of the longest continuous intercepts of claystone reported to date in the Clayton Valley of Nevada. We are off to a fantastic start on this phase of drilling, especially when you consider lithium prices are at all-time highs.”

Spearmint Commences Drilling on the McGee Lithium Clay Project in Clayton Valley, Nevada

By News

January 14, 2022 – Spearmint Resources Inc. (CSE: SPMT) (OTC Pink: SPMTD) (FSE: A2AHL5) (the “Company” or “Spearmint”) is pleased to announce that drilling has now commenced on Spearmint’s 100-percent owned ‘McGee Lithium Clay Project’ in Clayton Valley, Nevada directly bordering Cypress Development Corp. (CYP – TSX.v, CYDVF – USA) and Pure Energy Minerals Limited (PE – TSX.v, PEMIF – USA). Lithium prices have recently broken out to new all-time highs, increasing by over 500-percent since the start of 2021.

On December 22, 2021, Cypress Development Corp. announced it “successfully completed a seven-day continuous run at the company’s pilot plant. During this period, the pilot plant operated at its designed feed rate of one tonne per day of lithium claystone from the company’s Clayton Valley lithium project.”. As seen on the map below, Cypress Development Corp. and Spearmint share this blanket-like, lithium-bearing claystone formation. Management cautions that past results or discoveries on properties in proximity to Spearmint may not necessarily be indicative to the presence of mineralization on the Company’s properties.

James Nelson, President of Spearmint Resources stated, “We are very pleased to have now started this next phase of drilling on the ‘McGee Lithium Clay Project’ in Clayton Valley, Nevada, with the goal to build upon our maiden resource estimate of 815,000 indicated tonnes and 191,000 inferred tonnes for a total of 1,006,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE).  Since releasing the results from our last drill program in February 2021, where we discovered lithium in all ten out of ten drill holes, lithium prices have gone parabolic, increasing by approximately 500%. Clearly, this is an exciting time for lithium companies in Clayton Valley, Nevada, and an opportune time to be recommencing operations on our lithium holdings. Along with our Perron-East Gold Project in Quebec, we now have two major drill programs currently underway. Spearmint has approximately $3 million in the treasury with no need to raise additional funds and we are about to enter a major news flow cycle. We are headed into 2022 with a full head of steam and potential catalysts coming ahead on multiple projects.”

Spearmint Discovers Major NE-Trending Magnetic Lineament on its ‘Goose Gold Project’ in Newfoundland Directly Bordering New Found Gold Corp.

By News

December 8, 2021 – Spearmint Resources Inc. (CSE: SPMT) (OTC Pink: SPMTD) (FSE: A2AHL5) (the “Company” or “Spearmint”) is pleased to announce that it has recently completed a phase II work program on the 100-percent owned “Goose Gold Project” directly bordering New Found Gold Corp.’s (NFG-TSX.V) Queensway project in Newfoundland (see map below). During the phase II work program, the ground magnetic survey allowed the identification of a major NE-trending magnetic lineament (GG-M-01), a negative magnetic anomaly (GG_M-02) delineated in the SW of the study grid, and a moderate discontinuous magnetic lineament (GG_M-03) striking NE and parallel to GG-M-01. Several narrow, magnetic trends were also successfully mapped thanks to the high-resolution ground magnetic survey, in addition a few faults affecting the Goose Gold property were traced. As for the VLF-EM survey, one main relatively highly conductive axis was detected in the NW part of the study grid and four moderate conductive axes in the southern part of the Goose Gold property. All the delineated VLF-EM axes appear oriented NE-SW and some of the anomalous Au assay obtained from soil and rock samples appear to be associated with these conductive axes or located in their path. Follow up work should be completed over these targets to test their extent and potential for gold-quartz veins carrying sulphides.

On October 14, 2021, New Found Gold Corp. announced, “The Keats Main zone now extends 530 m down plunge, an increase of 65 m from the previously reported distance of 465 m defined by the farthest intercept to date in NFGC-21-360 grading 61.50 grams per tonne gold over 5.20 m”. These drill results are from their 200,000 m diamond drill program at its 100-per-cent-owned Queensway project, located on the Trans-Canada Highway 15 kilometres west of Gander, Nfld. In addition, On November 24, 2021, New Found Gold Corp. announced that “Mr. Eric Sprott now owns and controls 36,601,200 common shares of New Found Gold, representing approximately 22.4 per cent of the issued and outstanding common shares on a non-diluted basis”. Management cautions that past results or discoveries on properties in proximity to Spearmint may not necessarily be indicative to the presence of mineralization on the Company’s properties.

James Nelson, President of Spearmint Resources stated, “We are pleased to receive the results of our phase II work program on our ‘Goose Gold Project’ directly bordering New Found Gold Corp.’s (NFG-TSX.V) Queensway project. The discovery of a major NE-trending magnetic lineament is an exciting and step towards determining the highest priority drill targets on this project and a follow-up work program will be formulated shortly. Spearmint plans to have two major drill programs beginning in December 2021; one is on the Perron-East gold project in Quebec, located in the direct vicinity of Amex Exploration Inc. and Starr Peak Mining Ltd, and the other major drill program is on our ‘McGee Lithium Clay Project’ in Clayton Valley, Nevada, with the goal to build upon our maiden resource estimate of 815,000 indicated tonnes and 191,000 inferred tonnes for a total of 1,006,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE).  With approximately $3 million currently in the treasury, Spearmint is fully-funded for both major drill programs, with no need to raise additional funds.  We are about to enter a major news flow cycle and expect the remainder of 2021 and beyond will be an extremely active period for Spearmint with potential catalysts coming ahead on multiple projects.”
